Eric & Lynda,
Know that we are praying for you but we also know that your Dad left you a tremendous amount of laughter and good memories. I think I only met "Bud" at your wedding?...BUT incredibly, I remember what an incredible congenial man he was...taking the time to meet everyone & truly meant it when he said has glad to meet you.
Hugs from TN,
Sam, Susan, & all the Hager's

Dear Cheryl, Frank, Eric and Brad,
We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad/Grandfather. After reading the obituary I wish he was someone I had the privilege of knowing. He sounds as though he was a truly remarkable man who had his priorities in life correctly ordered. It is so hard losing a parent. It just seems like they should always be around. And now you have the difficult job of helping your Mom/Grandmother through her grief at the same time you are feeling such loss yourselves. Please know that thoughts and prayers are with you.

Linda and Rowland, we are truly sorry for the loss of your father/father-in-law, or "Papa" as Devon and Jamie refer to him. Papa sounds like a very warm and loving soul; smart, innovative, and strong. Sending prayers that he revels in God's love and that you and you family find peace and serenity in his memory.
With love, Maria and Scott.

I had the pleasure working with Bud on the Church of the Incarnation maintenance committee for many years. It was always a fun experience fixing and repairing various items and electrical problems that we would have in the church. Bud would tell me the "old" ways things were done when he was a young man. These were the discussions I would wait for. About three years Bud told me that I will need to go up the ladder form now on. He said that at 87 it may be a good idea to make the younger guy go up the ladder. He would still stand at the bottom making sure the job was done correctly and of course helping anyway he could.
I will miss my friend but I will always have his smile and his kindness in my heart.
Bud, make sure you save some jobs for us up there!

Bud - will miss you. Glad to have known you and worked with you on church projects thru the years. What fun we had at the Grumpy Old Men's group. You will always be remembered.

Chris and Barb,
Sorry for your loss. He sounds a lot like Chris. The chestnut does not fall too far from the tree. Thank you for sharing his story with us. I remember when he donated a couple wine carboys to the cause. He may have not used them for wine, but they were put to good use by me.
Thoughts and prayers for you and the family.
