My sincerest condolences to the Lill family on the loss of Max. It was my pleasure and honor getting to know Max as a member of the Junior Achievement Board. Max was always willing to pitch in and offer whatever he could to help the organization. He was a big, but gentle man, who continued to stress healthy nutrition when we discussed weight management and exercise. His passion on behalf of the Vietnam Memorial at Highland Park will always be remembered and appreciated. God bless him for his many contributions to our community.

I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to you and the family at this sad time.
I hope you remember me from when I worked with Angela at Hideaway Beach. I was pleased to hear she and your other dear friends were with you. I know through Angela how happy you and your husband were and I pray that your wonderful memories will sustain you in the days ahead.

I remember meeting Max when I was 16 at his house on St. Paul. He always treated me like a daughter. When I drove into Irondequoit today, it didn't feel the same, knowing he wasn't there. Jane, I'm so sorry, and Jim and Jake, you know I share many fun memories with you and Papa Lill. We will all hold them close to our hearts.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Max's passing. I've known Max for over thirty five years, since I was a teenager. Max always treated you as an equal, and had a great and positive influence on me as an ahtlete, but more importantly, as a man. Max was a great man who cared about others, and I admired him in many ways. He was a hero of mine, and I always looked forward to seeing him at the gym or around town. I am very hurt to lose him. A great guy. A man.
I will miss him.
God Bless you Max

I met Mr. Lill a few years ago when a mutual friend of ours asked him to work on strength training with a couple of us Penfield girls. On several Saturday afternoons, he volunteered his time, teaching us the correct way to lift weights. He was always very motivating and nice. At the time I couldn't quite understand why Mr. Lill would help us when he didn't even know us, but I can now see from reading about him that he was that kind of caring individual. May you rest in peace, Mr. Lill...

Max understood what it meant to give. He was a tireless contributor to the Irondequoit Football Training Program. So many of those young men went on to be successful because of Max. His willingness to give of his own time and his constant positive encouragement will never be forgotten. Thank you Max. He will always have a special place in the hearts of the Kaplun family. He was one of the best. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Jim and Jake and the rest of the Lill family.
