Obituary of Verna B. Izzo

Verna Marie Izzo (Bean) of Red Creek, NY, formerly of Penfield, died September 20, 2009 in Gainesville, Fl. Verna was born February 26, 1930 in Red Creek, NY, a daughter of Leroy and Edna Mcleod Bean. She graduated from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 1951. On September 10, 1955 she married Dr. Anthony Izzo in Rochester, NY. He predeceased her in 1989. She was a Registered Nurse and worked with her husband at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester. Verna is survived by her 4 sons, Steve, Don (Barbara), Jim (Kristina) and John (Christine); 5 grandchildren, Oliver, Julian, Jack, Samantha, and Anthony. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Bean. Friends are welcome to call at Becker Funeral Home, church St., Red Creek, NY on Friday, September 25th from 4-6 PM or on Saturday, September 26th 2-4 PM at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Penfield. Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
