Obituary of Raymond T. Cleary

Raymond T. "Red" Cleary of Penfield passed away June 20, 2009. A man of courage, loyalty and love of family. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary; brother, James, and sister-in-law, Hildreth "Sis". Ray is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helene Thompson Cleary; children, Matthew, Daniel (Kristen), Colleen (Peter) Leach and Susan (David) Damelio; sisters, Mary Catherine Parshall and Helen Rogers; grandchildren, Sean, Harley and Danielle Cleary, Mitchell, Quinn and Jack Leach, Davis and Sabrina Damelio; Several nieces and nephews. Ray was a proud Marine Korean War veteran, City of Rochester Police Officer for 36 years and owner of Cleary Escorting Service for 36 years. A special thank you to all who cared for him. He always appreciated your care. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Thursday 6-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Ray's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
