I'm very sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was a wonderful neighbor to our family for 32 years and remained a great friend after we moved in 2006.
As a little kid, I remember riding my bike in her driveway. She cut her lawn, shoveled her snow, took care of her flowers, and walked through the neighborhood every day. She was always thoughtful and friendly.
One funny memory was when my mom was taking her to lunch in Fairport for her birthday. My mom stopped too close to the railroad tracks. The warning arm malfunctioned and came down on the hood of my mom's car! We all got a good laugh out of that one, in fact I shared that story when I gave my mom's eulogy last year.
We will miss Carolyn and will keep her and her family close in thought and prayer.

My husband Ed and I (Carol) moved to Devonshire Dr. in the summer of 1919. The 1st person to welcome us was Carolyn. She came to our front door as we were moving in with a store bought apple strudel and quickly said she isn’t a good baker. From then on we had wonderful years of friendship.
I would call Carolyn to see if she was up to a sort visit, which ended 2 hours later.
When Carolyn’s health failing, she would say, (what good am I) my answer was your great and I am going to pick your brain as you have so much knowledge left I need to know. Always a Carolyn laugh.
I’ll complete this with I am sure her family knows, she was the most determined and independent woman. Carolyn maintained a home and raised her family for many years after losing her husband Bil.
I will always have wonderful memories of our time together and 3 beautiful pictures she painted for me.My church, birds and of course the family remembers the sewing machine picture in her bedroom. I loved it so and before I knew it, I had a picture of it. she did for me.
Enjoy your time in heaven and check to see if Bill is still crocheting.
Love, Carol Nersinger
