Obituary of Pauline Silco
Pauline Ciemny Silco, 70, of Penfield NY, passed away peacefully on Jan 28th, 2024, at her home in Penfield following a hard fought battle against Leukemia.
Pauline was born in Rochester, NY, to Joseph and Palma Ciemny on August 25, 1953. She attended Jefferson High School and went on to earn her BA and MA at Nazareth College.
She was proud to have worked as a school teacher for 36 years at Harris Hill Elementary in Penfield. Pauline was known for her culinary skills and always enjoyed having a full kitchen. She cherished her time with friends, book club, traveling and shopping.
Pauline is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Edward Silco; 3 sons, Edward Silco and his wife, Michaela, of Scarborough Maine, Jacob Silco of Penfield, NY, and Jeremy Silco and his partner, Kaitlyn Doud, of Rochester NY, and sister, Grace Lupiani of Rochester, NY. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, Ella, Anna and Owen Silco of Scarborough Maine, as well as her unborn grandson of Rochester, NY, due April 2024. She also had several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she adored. Pauline was predeceased by her parents.
In her final gift as a life-long educator, Pauline generously donated her remains to the University of Rochester Medical School.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday February 8th at 1PM at Spiritus Christi Church, 121 N Fitzhugh St, Rochester NY 14614. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be determined.
