Aunt Dorothy will always be remembered as a very loving and giving person. She has and always will have a special place in my heart. I am sure she is happy to be home with our Lord.

The thing I remember the most about Mrs. Tetro was when we went on field trips and she had two things that yellow straw hat and her camera. She would always sneak up on you and that picture that went in the year book. I loved her and will miss her.

Mrs. Tetro taught me so much - as my principal and as a Christian woman. She knew each of her students in her classroom and in the school, and they all knew how much she cared for them. She helped me understand that each child needs to know they are special and valued and loved by their Heavenly Father. She saw each child as capable of learning with a little help and support, and she was willing to give them that extra help. She was always a woman of grace and kindness shining God's love to those she met.
She and Mr. Tetro opened their home to me and watched out for me when I taught at Nazareth. I enjoyed talking with her about so many things including school and teaching and our faith. I was so surprised when I learned that she and Mr. Tetro liked to play video games together. I also admired that she started taking piano lessons as an adult because it was something she wanted to learn.
I am so grateful I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Mrs. Tetro, and I look forward to a joyful reunion.

So many fun times were spent with Dorothy (and Vicki ) at LCMS English District conferences over the years. We often laughed so hard that we were in tears. Dorothy was such an inspiration to her fellow principals and teachers. Her faith was strong and evident in all she said and did. You knew her inner strength simply by being in her presence. You were embraced by the love she exuded for family, friends, students and colleagues by listening to the stories she shared about and with them. You knew she was your friend by her smiles and hugs. Rest in peace in your Savior's arms, dear Dorothy. You have earned your heavenly crown.

A distant cousin, a pillar of faith. Always in a good mood, and always supportive. One of my childhood Sunday school teachers and Girl Scout leader! Loved spending time with her, her husband Ralph and their three daughters at their cottage in Fort Erie. She’s the one that taught me that you can drink milk with pizza instead of pop! Ha! RIP Dorothy, you will be missed.
