I want to extend my deepest condolences. I know how very much Berge will be missed by his family. He was a wonderful person, so warm and generous. I always loved hearing his stories about his family and growing up in Everett, and especially his stories about his sister, my mother-in-law, Queenice Stewart. Those are gifts I share with my children about their grandmother, great grandparents and extended family. I also loved hearing about his exciting work and travels. I always learned so much from talking to him. My family has enjoyed so many wonderful vacations on Cape Cod thanks to Berge's and Elisabeth's generosity and willingness to share what they love with us, and for that, I will be forever grateful. And I will take from Berge, his commitment to family. I love how he valued close family, extended family, and family reunions. I will always remember fondly the family reunion in Orleans, MA. With love, Sue Stewart

Uncle Berge was my second Dad. I have a lifetime of memories. Summers on the cape, family weddings, dinners with my parents and Berge’s family. The sweetest memories are of just the two of us at 9 Hazel Park. His childhood home. I had the privilege of taking care of this house for Berge and Hasi until they sold the property. Berge would stay at the house on his way back from Saudi. Uncle Berge would share childhood stories about he and my Dad and life growing up at 9 Hazel Park. Rest easy Uncle Berge I hope you know how much of an impact you had on my life. I am truly blessed to have had such a close relationship with uncle Berge.

I want to extend my deepest condolences to Elisabeth and the whole family for the loss of such a wonderful person. Berge was a great mentor for many and a professional role model. His life journey reveals his incredible sacrifice, hard work and perseverance. As young engineer at Harris RFC I was impressed by Berge’s customer focus, and unparallel commitment for excellence. Berge was constantly thinking on how to expand the HF market while providing customers with the best communication systems. May the Lord keep his soul in eternal peace.

As a colleague of Berge at Harris, one of my many great memories of Berge was his request to help him with contract neg in Saudi. I was unable to get a visa due to my gender and single status. As always Berge offered his solution that I travel as his wife in order to get the visa. Being 6 inches taller than him as well As several other reasons we tabled that idea. He did fine without my help! RIP Berge.

Deepest sympathies to Elisabeth and Berg’s family. Berge touched many lives and I had the good fortune of working with and traveling with Berge at Harris. I remember him fondly for his business acumen and his great personality. I recall our business trips to the Middle East where Berge was truly a star performer and respected by customers in that region. I consider him a great business associate and an even greater friend. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Having a hard time trying to share, hope it works this time. Many wonderful memories with Berg in Saudi from 1979 through 2000. Many good times over the years. A favorite of mine was eating cheese and olives with our family, 79, we had our daughter, RACHEL, there in school, then 91 and our son Josh in pre-k, and we all have fun memories of those times. We love you,
Terry, Bonnie, Rachel, and Josh Nelson

I was going to say, that’s the memory I have of Berge too! Eating cheese and olives with him! I can almost hear him saying Mom’s name in that accent! “Bawnie” I was just a little girl, but I knew that Berge was a good man to my family! I’m so sorry for your loss!

Hearing the news of Bergie not doing well and passing before I could make it to NY to see him, is like losing my own Father. He was such a big part of my life in Saudi Arabia since 1984. The energy he had was incredible. During a tough negotiation in Saudi, he would run into my room at 4am yelling “that he figured it out!” I will never forget those times and many other stories we have. He touched so many peoples lives over the years and always had the best life guidance. He will be missed by many. My prayers go out to his wonderful family and all his friends. Love Carl. The pic was from one of his many birthdays that we celebrated, Don Reynolds is the other guy !

I traveled to Saudi Arabia with Berge in 1990 just before the first Gulf War. We were there for a month returning home Christmas Eve. It was my first time there and was quite an adventure. One of the memories was of Berge laying on the couch in the villa eating mango ice cream saying "you can't get this in the US", then wanting to go for a walk outside at 11pm.
