Betty A. Quinn Obituary

Betty Quinn, 96, of Webster, NY since 2022 and longtime resident of Penfield, NY, died at home on May 24, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Roger; son Timothy (Margaret Stuhr); grandchildren Katherine (Bryan) Eckelmann and Andrew (Amy) Quinn; great-grandchildren, Coraline Eckelmann and Christopher, James, and Michael Quinn; sister-in-law Eileen Guerin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Christopher, siblings Kathleen and Carlton, and parents Jack and Anna Collins.




A graduate of Webster High School and SUNY Geneseo with a degree in education, she enjoyed an award-winning teaching career of more than thirty years at elementary schools in West Irondequoit, Rochester, and Penfield. She was an active member of her church, Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Penfield, and supported a variety of community organizations. As a volunteer and a board member, Betty played a key role in fulfilling the vision of Shepherd Home, a comfort care home in Penfield that opened its doors in 2005.


Memorial service: Sunday, May 28, 2 pm at Church of the Incarnation, 1957 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, NY. Interment private.
