I was a new, young teacher at Scribner, and Betty was a true and kind mentor. Her compassion coupled with her wit and common sense helped all of us be the best we could be. I especially have some fond memories of the fifth grade campouts at Beachwood. Folks like Betty, are the reason I left BOCES and came to Penfield. We are so sad to learn of Betty’s passing, but are so happy to have known her for so many years. Betty and Roger have always been so welcoming and supportive to us as a family, and Betty was so interested in our children and everything they were doing. She always shared the goings on of their family and made us feel so connected. Betty and Roger were a great team in their work at Church and in the community and they’re giving ways in everything they did. They are a wonderful role model for us. It is hard to think of one without the other. We send our love to Roger at this very difficult passage. With love and sincere condolences, John and Mary Lynn Miraglia
