Mom - you taught me so much. You taught me strength to overcome any obstacle. That determination could solve any problem. That humor is a viable approach to life. You taught me what success looks like and the importance of family.
We didn’t always see to eye to eye. We never will. But you taught me that we could disagree and still talk through any topic.
Your fingerprint is everywhere in my life. My successes in school, marriage, as a parent, and in business all have traces of you in them. Nothing of this miraculous life I’ve enjoyed happens without you. I never could have thanked you enough for that.
You are the best mom, and grammy, we could have ever wanted. We will miss you often, but will think and laugh about you much more frequently. I think that’s what you would have wanted.
I can only hope that I have a fraction of the impact on my children that you had on me. That I can impart some subset of the lessons you taught me on your grandchildren.
I miss you. I love you. Thank you for it all.

I first met Iva when she was walking Sultan in my "new" neighborhood. We started chatting & that led to shopping trips, meals together, & water aerobics. Lost track of each other but reconnected recently. So grateful for that phone call! She was an amazing woman & an example of a life well lived..My prayers for comfort to her family

Aunt Iva understood the importance of family and cared deeply about her loved ones. As an aunt she was a role model, raising two great sons while also working. She was well read and was always willing to offer advice. Aunt Iva was very generous and wanted the best for her family. She was forgiving and had a great sense of humor. I am grateful for the memories I have of spending time together. I will miss her.

Iva and I were friends from the 80s. She trusted me to watch her two sons, Ed and Jon when they were small. She wanted me to see New York City at Christmas so we took a trip there and saw the Rockettes perform. She spent a lot of holidays with my family.
She was so proud of family and grandchildren. She will be missed.

My Aunt Iva was a special woman who had so much pride and love for her sons and grandchildren.
She was a kind, caring and thoughtful woman that I was blessed to call my aunt.
I enjoyed any time that we spent together and the motherly warmth that she always put forth to me.
She was loved by me (and many others) ....perhaps more than she ever knew and she will be missed immensely.
