To the Family of Mrs. Britt,
My heart was saddened to see "my favorite teacher" in the obit section. Mrs. Britt was the best! She was my teacher back in the 70's at the Foreman Center in Fairport. I was one of those troubled kids who got kicked out of my home school and had to attend there. She would get a kick when I would address her as "Phyllis" but then would admonish me. Mrs. Britt was a beautiful soul and had a heart of gold. She and I became very close as student and teacher; so much so she and her husband attended my 1st wedding back in 1978. We remained in touch for a long while but then I moved away and we lost touch. She crossed my mind during the summer and I wondered if she was still here. I wish I had made more of an attempt to investigate as I would give anything to hear her voice. She definitely had an impact on my life and I will never forget her.
Rest On Phyllis. Thank you for the pleasure of knowing you and encouraging me to grow as an adult. It did pay off.
