To the Thon family, my sincere condolences to you all on the passing of your beloved father. My late husband, Ralph, and I knew both your mom and dad from Penfield schools as well as many of you as students. We also had contact with your dad about panther sightings in the Finger Lakes. To all of the Thon first generation children ...and beyond, I was honored to have known so many of you at PHS many years ago, and consequently to have known your mother Pat and your father Bruce. My condolences go out to you for having lost your loving and loved patriarch who gave so much of himself to you and your progeny over the years. Both Bruce and Pat were a wonderful part of my life, my 2 children's and my employment for many years. I have fond memories and laughter of our times together. He will be missed by many in the community. My love and prayers go out to his family in this difficult time.
