Obituary of Joshua Aaron Malone

Joshua Aaron Malone

Macedon - On December 19, 2021 at age 26. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lynne Young; paternal grandmother, Linda Malone. Joshua is survived by his parents, Aaron and Carol Malone; brother, Dylan; grandfather, Steven (Demaris) Verzulli; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joshua will be dearly missed by many family members, friends and students.

Joshua was born in Rochester, NY on January 12, 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and camping with his family and friends. He graduated from Penfield High School in 2013. He was an avid athlete who participated on the high school wrestling team earning his varsity letter. Joshua also loved to rock climb at the RIT barn. He played Rugby and later found his passion for tumbling and Cheer for Core Athletix. He also worked hard in his Boy Scout Troop 9 of Penfield. Joshua climbed the ranks in the troop and held many leadership positions including Senior Patrol Leader. Joshua mentored his fellow scouts and accomplished the goal of Eagle Scout. Recently he coached at Core Athletix and was a teacher’s aide at Cobblestone Arts Center. He enjoyed teaching and encouraging all of the students he worked with, no matter their ability. He always had faith in them. Joshua was a reptile enthusiast since he was a small boy. As he got older he grew this enthusiasm into designing and creating habitats for his reptile family. He even started a FB page called JAM tanks. Joshua wanted to start a reptile rescue and rehabilitation. Joshua had many hopes and aspirations in life. Unfortunately, he could not overcome his battle with anxiety and depression. Mental Health Matters. Always. Check in on your friends, regularly. Be an advocate. Listen. There is always help. National Suicide Prevention Life line 1-800-273-8255. Joshua, you will always be in our hearts. Be at peace my son. We love you.
