Obituary of Marisa Kim Simmonds

Simmonds, Marisa K. passed away suddenly on October 15, 2021.  Marisa was the daughter of Barbara and Richard Simmonds.  She is survived by her father, Richard Simmonds; aunt and fiancé, Nance Simmonds and Jeff Millerd; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Rachel Simmonds; uncle, Robert Barnes; nieces and nephew, Rebecca Jordan, Jessica Jordan and Jack Simmonds and cousins, Ryan Phillips, Jason and Melissa Phillips.  She was loved and adored by countless colleagues and students in the Rochester City School District.  

A memorial service will be held at Jennings Nulton & Mattle on Sunday, October 31.  Calling hours will be held from 1pm-4pm, with family and friends sharing stories about Marisa at the very end.  All friends, family and former colleagues and students are invited to attend to pay their respects.  Masks are mandated while inside the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the RTA Books For Kids Fund to help continue Marisa’s love of reading.  Donations can be sent to:
