I was Bob's roomate at BC Law, first and second year. He was so bright, and yet so modest, centered and fair. He went to church often, and I admired his integrity. From the photos posted here, I see that he never lost his impish grin. He did not suffer fools ... and that kept me on my best behavior! I am sorry that the world has lost him.

When Rob was a law student at Boston College and I was an undergraduate student at Holy Cross College, we met in the bleachers of Fenway Park in the Spring of 1977. Among 33,000 people, the odds of running into my celebrated cousin were near impossible. The Red Sox beat the Yankees that night. More importantly, I had a delightful evening talking with Rob about our career plans, and the state of the large and extended Quinn family. It was one of my favorite nights in the 70's or any other decade for that matter.
Miss you and your sense of humor Rob, Mike Q- Holy Cross '77

Bob was a good friend for over 61 years, since our days as classmates at Aquinas. We were in almost every class together for our four years there. I will greatly miss all of the laughs, reminiscences, breakfasts, lunches, planning of class events, the events themselves, golf, email interactions, poker games, etc., etc. that I have shared with Bob over the years. His passing has really hit home to me the fact that our time here is short. The years have certainly flown by.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Barb, Rob and Andy and the rest of the family.
Bob is probably up there chuckling over this sentimentality. RIP, Bob, and I look forward to seeing you again - but not too soon!!

I did not know you but Bob and Richard went to St Ambrose with the Zicaris-I am one of them. I was in Richards class and my sister Jane was in Bob class. I remember those days very fondly. Please accept my symphony and say hi to Richard for me. He may not remember but I remember them well. Take care

I am so grateful that John, our daughter Annie and I had a fabulous visit this past September when we were visiting in Rochester. Since we live in Maryland we do not get to John's childhood home as often as we should. Bob was with John both at Aquinas and Boston College. Bob was at our wedding in 1972. We all enjoyed a lovely BC reunion cruise in 2018. He has been a wonderful friend for six decades. He will be missed by so many people. I will always remember is kind, caring and thoughtful manner. Dear Bob, God bless your soul and God bless all those who love you. We are sorry we will not be able to attend the funeral Mass tomorrow. Please know that at 11am we will be praying with you. Love, Patricia Young It is just hard to believe he is gone.

Barb: I was saddened to read the passing of your husband, Bob. He was a member of the Irondequoit Town Council when I worked for the Town Clerk's Office at the Town of Irondequoit back in 1986. I remember him as a very pleasant Councilman who always spoke to us when he came into the Town Hall. My sincerest sympathy to you and all the family on your loss. Treasure the many memories you all created together for they will help you during the sad times and know that he waits for you all of you to be joined together again.

I have been close friends with Bob for over 40 years and am deeply saddened by his passing. We were apartment mates in law school. I learned a lot from talking with Bob and observing the leadership examples he set. Bob had a wonderful combination of qualities that made him unique. He was truly accomplished yet with humility. Deeply principled, a military vet and American patriot. Kind and thoughtful with the ability to "disagree without being disagreeable".
There is definitely a void in my life now. Bob will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to Barbara and the family

Bob was my best buddy throughout high school, in college, and thereafter. If you have read his novel, "Bonnie and the Young Guy," I was Bob’s character, “Ken Bauman.” In short, he and I did a great deal together especially in early adulthood. He was an instigator and he helped to define who I was. Reading Bonnie was a joy for me, as it reminded me of the adventures we had and the fun that Bob infused into life. He was also a loving and devoted husband, father, granddad, and friend to those of us lucky enough to have him in our lives. Besides being a great stimulus for others’ fun, Bob was also intellectually brilliant, witty, and caring. He had a gift with people, who invariably enjoyed being with him. These are a few of the reasons we are going to miss him so much. Mike Aman

I first met Barbara attending Committee of 100 trips to Albany twice a year. I eventually met Bob and I could see how they were perfect for one another. We occasionally have run into each other over the years. Our sons were friends at Penfield High School. I was totally shocked when I saw his name in the obituaries as we are so close in age. 74 seems young to me and definitely too young to leave us. My condolences to all the members of your beautiful family. Mary Anne and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I first met Bob bowling at Panorama Bowl in Penfield. One night after bowling we discovered we had both been in Vietnam. Thanks to Bob, I joined Vietnam Veterans of America. We maintained our friendship all these years although we didn’t see each other that often any more. Usually we saw each other at Bill Greys in Penfield. Bob was a great guy and will be missed.

He ALWAYS made me feel welcomed and cared about. I am introverted by nature, and social gatherings where I don’t know people well, are very uncomfortable for me. My fondest memory of this kind man was from a party that I attended. I was standing in a corner somewhere trying desperately not to look awkward by myself. “Uncle Rob” swooped in and started talking with me as if he’d known me for years. He was kind to me, asked all sorts of questions, and genuinely wanted to know all about me. He effortlessly integrated me into the conversations that ensued amongst the party guests that night. I don’t think he ever knew how much I appreciated his genuine kindness. Every time that I saw him, he was warm and welcoming, and he always had a true interest in me and my life. I’ve never met anyone like him. Lighthearted, peppy, and kind; when I think of this man, the first thing I see in my head is his smile.
