Obituary of Cornelius J. Dinan
Cornelius J. "Cork" Dinan
Penfield - On October 19, 2019 at age 83. Cork was born on April 4, 1936 in Buffalo, NY and was raised on Grand Island, NY. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Kuntz) Dinan. Cork is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy (Seifert) Dinan; children, Elizabeth Dinan, Patricia (Dave) Parker and Kathleen (Bob) Stokes; grandchildren, Nicole (Dan) Stachnick, Keisha and Spencer Stokes; brother, Paul (Tami) Dinan of Oregon; niece, Kristin Bagley of Utah; cousins, Roger (Grace) Baldinger and Frank (Ann) Dinan.
Cork retired from Xerox in 1994 after 25 years. He was a 10 year volunteer at Shepherd Home and volunteered at Meals on Wheels. He was a dedicated member of Incarnation Episcopal Church. Cork was also an American Red Cross Blood Donation volunteer at 50 Prince Street in Rochester and was an active member of the Legacy at Willow Pond Community. In retirement, he and Nancy enjoyed traveling with their long-time friends, Matt and Paddy Lanighan. The family would like to thank the volunteers and staff at Shepherd Home and Dr. Bushunow and his staff at Lipson Cancer Center for their loving and compassionate care.
Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Friday, November 15, 4-7 PM. His Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 16, 11 AM at Incarnation Episcopal Church, 1957 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, NY 14526. Interment private. Kindly consider donations to Shepherd Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, NY 14526 in Cork's memory.
