If you are lucky you get to have someone like Lee in your life. Someone who is always there in support of any decision you make. Someone that will be your biggest cheerleader 100% of the time. Thank you for showing me to keep fighting against all odds, to keep pushing yourself even when things get rough. Thank you for being the person I went to when I was scared to be home alone. Thank you for shooting hoops with me in the driveway. Thank you for cooking us new foods. And mostly thank you for bringing absolute joy in the world everyday. I wouldn’t want to score my goals for anyone else. I hope when when I grow up I can be half the person you were and I can make you proud.

I'm truly saddened by the passing of Lee. Although in fact we hadn't seen each other for sometime we stayed connected via Facebook. As neighbors we connected and became friends. Our children attended the same schools and were very close. Lee and I shared a common interest in music. As fellow musicians we shared stories and spent good times together. He was a "True Gentleman" and was considerate of all. He will be missed.... Heartfelt condolences to Laura, Sammy , Mary and his dad Saul. May he rest in peace......Ride on my friend.. I'll see you soon.

My sincere condolences to Laura and the children. I was deeply saddened by the news of Lee's passing. Through our business relationship we had become fast friends. I will miss our luncheons where we discussed life, our families, our mutual employment at Malrite Communications and Lee's quest for the best NYC style pizza outside of the five Burroughs. Lee, I will miss your friendship and will take up the quest in your honor. Rest in peace. Frank

To Laura and family:
Lee Starr was one of the greatest human beings that both Mike DeLuca and I had the pleasure of knowing.
Our deepest condolences to you all. We feel tremendous pain but we can only imagine that it is a fraction of what you have to deal with.
This was not right and God summoned Lee way before his time. Your family and Lee are in both Mile and my prayers and he is incredibly missed and loved by both of us.
Although due to short notice we cannot be at the service you all will be in our thoughts and prayers on Thursday and Friday and for the rest of our lives.
Lee never complained about anything, had a wonderful personality, was fun loving and only worried about everyone else.
I was fortunate to know and share life with Lee on and off for the last 32 precious years.
Never did Mike DeLuca and I dream when we shared our final hugs with Lee and his father Saul in Feb that things could go so unfortunately wrong.
Lee not only was a top class friend I love but he brought Mike DeLuca and I together so all 3 of us could form a solid bond together and Mike and I thank Lee for that.
Lee had hundreds if not thousands of friends who loved him dearly.
Mike and I both cherished our time together with Lee and we all will meet again in God’s eternal Kingdom!
Rest In Peace my dear brother Lee until our paths cross again.
So dearly Love ❤️ Lee for the rest of our lives.
Love
Tom Halloran and Mike DeLuca

Unbelievably heartbroken when I found out of Lee’s passing. One of the sweetest nicest people I have ever known. I meet him through Johnny Cook, my neighbor and lead singer of High Voltage. I traveled with Cookie to all of High Voltages final shows for about 4-5 years and continued to see Bonfire. Lee always made a point of coming over and saying hello and asking how I was!! I’ll miss you brother!! Rock On!!

I had the privilege of meeting, and working with Lee, at WBSU in brockport 1979-82. We lost touch, but were able to communicate again via Facebook a few years ago. Lee was interested in my view of active Marine Corps service, since his son was thinking of enlisting. I am sorry for the loss of a very fine man, and regret that I did not physically see him again before Lee passed on.

I worked with Lee at WUHF for a few years but later reconnected. I was amazed at his attitude and spirit.
My favorite memory is making a House of Guitars commercial in the studio with Lee and other staffers just acting goofy and having fun.
May the family be at peace knowing that he is not suffering any more and that he is truly loved by so many people.

Although Lee and I never had a mutual friendship, we did have a musical friendship while he played in Bonfire. On many occasions Lee would take the time to make it a point to stop over and say hello and thank me for coming to the shows. Those times we didn't talk so much about the band but more about life in general; family, kids, work-life, the cottage, and his bike trips. Lee was a true gentleman, father, and
kind soul who I will sorely miss. Ride that "Rock'n Roll Train" into heaven my friend and may God Bless you and your family.
