To Jo's Children, esp. Trudy and Annmarie, I was so sorry to read about the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful woman who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. I have thought about all of you a lot over the years and have missed seeing you and your families. So sorry for your loss to the entire Carroll family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although I never met Mrs. Carroll I know she was a special lady for she raised my good friend Cahal who is an angel amongst us and now Mrs. Carroll is an angel up in heaven and one day they will be reunited again. I will plant this tree in her honor proudly and think of her and Cahal as I see it flourish to the sky.

Thank you Jo for all the fun and wonderful times that we've been able to have because of you. All my memories of you are always of you smiling and happy and so very, very kind. The music, the dancing, the food, and the people helped all of us who grew up as first-generation Irish see Ireland through the eyes of all came to Carroll's. You created that! You were also an incredible woman, raising a great family while growing a business that's a staple of the Irish community of Rochester. You also did this in a new country and as a widow. Amazing!
