Obituary of Wendy L. Ford

It is with great sadness that the family of Wendy (Ballard) Ford, a beautiful spirit taken too soon, announces that she went to be with her Savior on October 31, 2018.  Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Gerald and Linda Ballard; sister Amy (Mark) Pierce; niece and nephew, Brooke and Jason.  She had a special place in her heart for her Aunt RoseMarie, cousin Donnie and dearest friend Tammy.   She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Wendy loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She was passionate about helping others and pursued a career in Vocational Rehabilitation.   She touched so many lives and had an innate way of guiding them to believe in their potential.   She was well respected in her profession and left an unforgettable mark.

When not working, Wendy enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, traveling, biking, horseback riding and spending time with friends.  She was adventurous and always trying something new.  She loved animals, especially her cats, Luna and Magpie.  Among her many talents, Wendy was a fabulous cook and enjoyed baking desserts to satisfy her sweet tooth.  As a gifted artist, she painted many pictures of her cats and nature.  Wendy was good-hearted, kind, and had a gentle soul beyond measure.

Wendy’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13th from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the First Baptist Church of East Rochester, 119 West Elm Street.  A memorial service will follow at 12:30pm.In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in Wendy’s memory to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR) or Lollypop Farm Humane Society.
