Obituary of Gordon R. Scott

Gordon R. Scott of Penfield passed away peacefully on October 9, 2012 at the Maplewood Nursing Home, less than a month shy of his 94th birthday. He was predeceased by his wife, June and his brother, Donald. Gordon is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tim Garrad; his loving companion, Phyllis Deal and her daughters and their husbands, Jacqueline and Robert Trombino and JoAnn and William Koegler; his devoted sister, Beatrice (Sis) Scott and loving nieces and nephews; also, Phyllis' brother and his wife, Paul and Beatrice Briggs and her sister, Joyce Stadt. Gordon was a proud WWII Veteran, who participated in the Normandy D-day invasion at Utah Beach, was a successful Penfield businessman, Penfield Town Councilman, Republican Town Leader and retired Clerk of the Monroe County Legislature. Gordon's family would like to send out a special thank you to the staff of Maplewood Nursing Home for their loving care. No prior calling. A Funeral Service for Gordon will be held Saturday 11 AM at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Road, Penfield. Interment, private.
