We have known Phyllis for quite some time, and have only known Gordon for the past few years. We would see then quite often at Fairport Doughnuts, and always had some very interesting conversations. One of Gordon's memories, that I probably won't forget, was following the victory of WWII. He told us how he had marched down the streets of Wales, UK carrying the American Flag. He was so Proud to be an American as well as a Veteran.
Some time ago The Reader's Digest had a feature called "My Most Unforgettable Character." Surely Gordon fit the picture, as he was a perfect gentleman.

I absolutely loved Mr. Scott. When I was young, I and my brothers used to ride our bikes from Harris Road down Atlantic Ave to the store to buy candy. Mr. Scott always greeted us with kind words and a warm smile. We were all so fond of him, and looked forward as much to seeing him as we did to our ice cream and candy. I'm so blessed to have this sweet, wonderful man as a part of some of the best days of my childhood. There is certainly a special place in heaven for him!!
