Obituary of Gretta Ann Donovan

Penfield: July 1, 2017, peacefully at the age of 81. Gretta is survived by her husband of 63 years, Terry J. Donovan; two children, Lynann (Tony) LaFountain and Michael (Jill) Donovan; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Stacey LaFountain, James (Nikki) Donovan, Kevin (Emily) Donovan, and Kyle (Jessica) Donovan; three great-grandchildren, Ava and Adyson Larwood, and Rowan Donovan; sisters, Betty Howe and Linda Medina; brother, Gary Ayers; brother-in-law, Dennis R. Donovan; niece Lori Hoffman; and all of the extended families thereof. Born on October 4, 1935 to Claude and Donna Rathburn of Canaseraga, NY, raised in her early years by her grandmother and later by her father and step-mother, Gertrude "Gertie" Rathburn of Ossian and Dansville, NY. Loved by her family and friends for her outgoing, friendly and caring personality. Truly the matriarch to her family, with her loving and compassionate concern for the welfare of each and everyone. Friends may call Friday, 4-7pm at Jennings, Nulton and Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, where a service will be held Saturday 11am. Burial Mt. Hope Cemetery.
