Obituary of John P. Murphy

John P. Murphy, M.D. of Penfield passed away May 18, 2017. He was predeceased by an infant son and by his son, Brian J. Murphy. John is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; son, Michael (Eileen) Murphy; daughter, Barbara (David) Pratt; 6 granddaughters; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Kinsky; many nieces and nephews. John was a Doctor of Anesthesiology at St. Mary's Hospital for many years. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7PM at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road. John's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to VNS Hospice in his memory.
