Obituary of James R Wiesner

James R. Wiesner of Rochester passed away Saturday March 4, 2017. James Robert Wiesner, of Fort Myers, Florida, left this Earth peacefully, at age 96. Jim was a proud World War II Veteran, serving in the United Sates Army, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He had a 21-year career with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, retiring in 1974, as Assistant Chief Deputy. Jim is predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Eileen Wiesner. He is survived by his son, Robert (Maggie) Wiesner; daughter, Karen (Jeffrey) Manniello; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life at a mass on Friday March 10, 11AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road in Penfield.
