Obituary of William Henry Faul

William H. Faul, PhD of Pittsford passed away June 11, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Karen; parents, Henry Jacob and Wilma Stahlberg Faul. Bill is survived by his son, Mark (Heather) Balsamo; grandsons, AJ and Ryan; brother, Dr. Robert (Susan) Faul; nieces, Jennifer (Brian) Begley and Sarah (Ramzi) Sifri; many grand- nieces and grand-nephews; sister-in-law, Susan Deutscher. Bill grew up in Evansville, IN. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Chemistry, followed by Stanford University, where he earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Bill spent his career from 1970-2002 in the Research Labs at Eastman Kodak. He had many past times including running, race walking, playing his trumpet, collecting model trains and teaching and learning at Osher Life Long Learning Institute. Bill was active in several local bands, including Third Presbyterian Church Ramblers and Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Saturday 10-12, where Services will follow at 12 Noon. Interment private. In lieu of flowers kindly consider Third Presbyterian Community Outreach Fund or Hochstein School of Music.
