Obituary of Kenneth Warren Smith

Kenneth Warren Smith, Jr. of Fairport was taken by the Lord to his heavenly home May 24, 2013. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA July 29, 1935, the only child of the late Kenneth W., Sr. and Eleanor Smith. Ken is survived by his loving family; wife of almost 50 years, Vivian; sons, Douglas W. (Lynn), of Bergen, David A. of NYC; grandson, Kyle Douglas; aunt and cousins in PA; Faith church family and many dear friends. He was a computer engineer and most recently employed by Pony Express as a courier. He also served as a Cub Scout Webloes leader of Pack 208, Fairport and was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Penfield, for 45 years. Among his favorite hobbies were stamp collecting and, most of all, magic where he was a partner with Brian Smith in Absolutely Magic Entertainment. He was also a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Ken’s Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 1, 11AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 2576 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester, NY 14625 with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church or a favorite charity. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at RGH for their compassionate care through his many stays.
