Please accept my belated and heartfelt condolences. It only occurred to me recently that this past year Wally did not phone me on my birthday. (Did he ever give in to doing email ??)
I googled Wally's name and was stunned to have his photo and obituary appear on the screen. I am so sorry.
We grew up together in North Conway and skied together on Cranmore Mt. for years.. He was my very first sort-of-boyfriend in 5th grade or so but he ditched me I think in 8th grade!
The last time I saw Wally (and the first time in decades) was at Norma's wonderful party (a family reunion ?) in North Conway -years ago - that my twin sister Roberta and I somehow got invited. It was a pleasure to meet Eileen!
Wally was a very special person -smart, warm, accomplished, thoughtful. Surely he is deeply missed. I can hear his funny laugh as I write this.
