Obituary of Deborah C. Benedict

Deborah Cook Benedict of Brighton passed away suddenly on April 24, 2016 at age 94. Deborah was born in Boston in 1921 and grew up in Rochester. She graduated from the Harley School in 1939 and from Skidmore College in 1943 where she earned a degree in Art Education. In the early 1940's she worked in the Advertising Department of the B Foreman Company. In 1943 she wed Howard W. Benedict Jr. The couple had 5 children, Geoffrey (JoAnne) of Minneapolis, Polly Cumby of Chicago, Howard, Elizabeth and Edward (Julie) of Rochester. Her husband of 49 years passed away in 1993. Deborah is survived by her children, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was love and light to us all.
