What a tragic loss for all of Pat's family and friends. My heart goes out to Sienna as she deals with this. I know she has the loving support of her entire family, and with their help, she will make it thru her sorrow.
I still remember Pat as a little boy in Austin. A warm and friendly youngster who grew into a caring and responsible adult. My best memory of Pat was the phone call we received in NJ when Pat and his friend Carmen were planning a trip to the New York City area. He wondered if it would be OK for them to spend a weekend at our house. We were thrilled that he asked! We knew that we liked Pat a lot, but with teenagers you never are quite sure about how they feel. That he was so comfortable with us was a great feeling. That short weekend really felt like a bonding experience where Mickey and I made a new friend.
Pat will be greatly missed and thought of often.

Dear Pat,
Words can't express how I feel. I feel like nothing I can say will touch on the emotions. I will say this though I am so proud of you. You are an amazing example of how a person should be. From now on I will live my life thinking what would Pat do? I know you always gave kindness and had the most gentle spirit, even when were little. Our dad used to joke how Patrick was the sweet, calm one and I was the Hellion. He always gave me love and support. I can't imagine what Sienna is going through but feel peaceful knowing she grew up with the most wonderful father and that she will always carry a piece of his heart wherever she goes. I was meaning to go up to Webster one summer and have Pat and Sienna meet my kids and I am devastated that time won't come now. Patrick I love you so very much, our lives will never be the same.
