Obituary of Mildred B. Van Sicklen

Mildred (Berka) Van Sicklen of Penfield, formerly of Brightwaters, NY passed away January 17, 2016 at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth and by her brothers and sisters; Joseph and Irene Berka, Jerry and Patricia Berka, Mary and Joseph Zadak, Marie Berka, Pauline and Kenneth Bouton, Blanche and Elliott Seagraves, Robert and Olga Berka, Dr. Ladislav Berka. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Gerry (Herb) Brown, Diane (Alan) Whitcomb and Bonnie (Shannon) Spears. Grandchildren, Melissa and Lynn Brown, Sue Whitcomb, Ann (David) Cooper, Andrew Lillibridge, Krista Miller. Great Grandson, Evan Lillibridge. Mildred was a retired first grade teacher in West Islip, NY. She was an active member in Eastern Star, West Islip Senior Center, Bay Shore Congregational Church, Sagtikos Manor Historical Society, multiple square dance groups, Sokol, Bohemia, NY, Restless Wheels (camping group), AARP, Western Suffolk Retired Teachers, Bay Shore United Methodist Church, Bay Shore Food Pantry and as an AARP tax aide Friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Saturday April 16, 11 AM at the Bay Shore United Methodist Church, 107 East Main St., Bay Shore, NY.
