Obituary of Janet M. Marriott

Janet Miller Marriott of Brighton passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11th surrounded by her family. She was born July 5, 1935 in Batavia, NY to the late John R. and Kathryn Eichelberger Miller. Janet was predeceased by her brother, George (Carol) Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Michael) Dermady; grandchildren, Michael John and Sarah Jane and beloved Yorkie, Daisy. She is also survived by several other relatives, friends and loving neighbors. Janet graduated from Batavia High School in 1953 and attended RIT. She retired from the Brighton Central School District and continued to work in the district through her 70s as a substitute. Janet loved her many hobbies and traditions including, Saturday trips to the public market, bus trips with friends, reading, watching New York Yankee games, watching her grandchildren grow up, cooking for her family, arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, breakfast at McDonalds, Sunday dinners, conversations on her front porch with family, friends and her wonderful neighbors, walks with Daisy and her annual trips to the New York State Fair. Janet was a 50 year member of Penfield United Methodist Church and a woman of faith. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Friday November 20th, 4-7PM. Janet's Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday November 21st, 11 AM at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Road, Penfield. Inurnment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
