Obituary of Carolyn A. Tullar
Carolyn A. Tullar of Penfield passed away on October 21, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Ronald Tullar, Jr. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Timothy) Mayer; 2 sisters, Beverly Klch, Sharon (Bill) Garland; brother, John (Marie) Teetsel; 2 grandsons, Patrick and Anthony Glennon and 6 step grandchildren. Carolyn also had 6 step-children and their families, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Carolyn worked for the city school district as a teacher's aide. She was employed for 33 years before retiring. After she retired, she continued to volunteer at School 19. She liked to work at the old Olympic Bowling Center, working with bowling tournaments as well as bowling on leagues, with her husband and daughter. In her free time she liked to read, listen to audio books, knit and crochet. She made blankets and prayer shawls for her church, Faith Lutheran Church, where she remained a member until her passing.
In passing, Carolyn finally achieved the 3 things she hasn't been able to do for years. She is finally healthy, she can walk pain free and is finally reunited with her husband.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Carolyn Saturday November 7, 10 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 2576 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester, NY 14625. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hildebrandt Inpatient Unit, 2652 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, NY 14626 in her memory.
