Obituary of Rocco M. Vivenzio

Rocco M. Vivenzio, M.D. of Penfield passed away April 26, 2013. Physician, Educator, caregiver and friend. Rocco is survived by his wife, Madaline; daughters, Laura Vivenzio, Maria Vivenzio (Robert Mancuso), and Kathryn Vivenzio; mother, Anna Vivenzio; brother, John (Sharon); sister, Rosanne (Thomas) Agati; sisters-in-law, Beth (Paul) Klemke and Constance (Chad) Tylenda; brother-in-law, Franklyn (Deborah) Selby; several nieces and nephews. Rocco was a graduate of the University of Bologna Medical School in Italy and was a Medical Professional in the Rochester area for 32 years. He was in practice in Internal Medicine prior to founding the Strong Health Geriatrics Group. Rocco was a Past Chairman of Eldersource and has served on the board of Lifespan. He was currently serving as Medical Director of Aaron Manor and Crest Manor Nursing Homes and Fairport Baptist Homes. In 2013 Rocco was recognized as the recipient of the AMDA American Medical Director of the Year award. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Friday 4-8 PM. Rocco’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield.
