We met Mike when they moved in down the street when Shawnette was just a little girl. When they moved away, like so many other people, we lost contact. He was a good man, an excellent father and had a great sense of humor. All of us who knew him at one time or another in our life are better people for the experience. He will be greatly missed but alway remembered. RIP peace Mike. God bless you and your family

Although we didn't know him well, Mike treated us like family. He raised a bright and beautiful daughter whose selflessness could only have been the result of the teachings from kind of father any of us would be grateful to have. Shawnette, you are a wonderful person. I thank God for sending us someone that we can always count on. I believe that God puts us here to achieve many things and I believe one of your dad's missions was to help you to realize your own goals and potential. He certainly succeeded. You've managed to deal with many of life's tragedies and hardships with strength and grace. You and your family are an inspiration and I know your father is proud. We are so sorry for your loss and are here for you. <3

Shawnette...
I would like to say "thank you" to your dad. If he hadn't hired John @ German 15 years ago, chances are that you wouldn't be my sister-in-law! Your dad was a good guy who will never be forgotten & always missed:)

I had the wonderful pleasure of sharing my childhood with Shawnette and Mike. I have some great memories, especially the ones tubing on Long Pond over many summers. He was a great person who loved his daughter. He will be missed!

What can I say about my daddy? He was not only my father but my friend. He was my rock when I needed him to be. I, along with many others, respected him very highly. He was a mentor to many including myself and my husband. Not only was he a dad but he was a loving husband and a wonderful grandfather. A part of me is missing because he is gone but I know he would want me to continue on and live my dreams. He would want me to be strong for my son, my husband, my family and myself. He has taught me a lot and I will carry it with me always. I know he is looking down on me and watching over me. I know he is watching over the entire family. I feel him all around me. I have tons of memories that I wish I could share, however, I think I would write forever if I shared them! We were a great father/daughter team. I will miss hearing him laugh and cry. I will miss seeing him and calling him. I will miss so many things about him but I always will have the memories. I am proud and always will be proud of being his daughter. I could not have asked for a better man to have that job.
Daddy,
You went through a lot in your life and you were so young when you were taken from us. I am glad you are at peace and please give Danielle, grandma, grandpa and everyone else a big hug from me and I promise I will see you again one day. I love you and miss you so much! My heart his heavy and sad because you are gone but please don't worry. I will pick myself up like you taught me to do and carry on. I know you will always be with me in spirit. Thank you for all you have done and for being such a special person in my life. I love you! Rest In Peace Daddy!
