Obituary of William R. VerSchneider

William R. VerSchneider of Fairport passed away June 20, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor; 6 children, Jeanette (Michael) Dohner, Nancy (Alan) Brown, Linda (Tom) Cup, Gerald (Kelly) VerSchneider, Jane (Steve) Malachowski, Tammey (Joseph) Pulitano; cherished friends, Ann and Barbara Byer; 9 grandchildren, Deone, Daniel, Kevin, Chris, Caitlin, John, Vinny, Dominick and Victoria; 4 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Briana and Haley; brothers, John (Jeanie), Eugene (Cindy) and Fr. Neil, SJ; sister, Claire (Jim) Hayes; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends. William was a Veteran of the US Navy, an avid collector of vintage cars and a 3rd Degree member of Bishop McQuaid Council, Knights of Columbus. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Wednesday 4-7 PM. William's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 11:15 AM at Assumption Church, 20 East Ave., Fairport, NY 14450. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Gesu Parish, ATTN: Fr.
