Obituary of Dorothy V. Peitscher

Dorothy Mae Peitscher (Van Zandt) of Brighton, passed away on June 5, 2011 at age 97 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. Dorothy was born on April 22, 1914, the daughter of David and Ella Newman Van Zandt. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, Ellsworth; sister, Mildred and twin brother, Donald. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Judy Peitscher; 4 grandchildren, Peter Morrison, Jackie Haddad, Jennifer Gervasi and Justine Dorsey; 8 great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved being a home-maker, travelling, reading, knitting for the Salvation Army and visiting her family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2 PM at Third Presbyterian Church, East Ave. at Meigs St., Rochester. Private Interment, Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
