Obituary of Melvin Roy Vandenbergh

Melvin R. Vandenbergh of Penfield passed away April 5, 2013 at age 90. He was the fifth of seven children of Peter J. and Nellie Katherine. Mel served with the US Army Air Corps. (2nd Lt.) in WWII. He was an RPI Graduate. Mel was employed by Lozier Engineering for 30 years. He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Ruth and his first wife, Edna. Mel is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Alan (Kathy), Kathy (Ken) Goodrich and Lindy (Graham) Walker; grandchildren, Heather, Leta, Hannah and Lucy; great-grandchildren, Asher and David. No prior calling. Friends are invited to Mel’s Funeral Service Tuesday, April 16th 1 PM at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery.
