Obituary of Sarah H. Ashnault

Sarah H. "Sally" Ashnault of Penfield entered peacefully into heaven at age 82. Sally is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wallace; daughter, Joan (Michael) Gulnac; son, Richard (Karen) Ashnault; 5 grandchildren, Emily and Jenna Gulnac, Dannica, Carleigh and Elena Ashnault; brothers, Charles (Kay) and Richard Hallagan; sisters-in-law, Camilla (Robert) McGriff and Norma (Robert) Wassal; brothers-in-law, Edward (Carol) and Richard (Joy) Ashnault; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sally was a long time member of Burby Hollow and Hunt Hollow Ski Club, Sodus Bay Golf Club and Penfield Presbyterian Church. She was also a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. She was a graduate of the University of Vermont with a BA in Medical Technology, where she was a member of the first Women's Ski Team. Sally worked at Strong Memorial Hospital as a Medical Technologist and Researcher. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the caring staff of Atria Penfield. No prior calling. A Memorial Service will be held for Sally Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 AM at Penfield Presbyterian Church, 1881 Jackson Road, Penfield.
