Obituary of Eloise Hanss

Eloise Hanss of Yorktown VA joined her husband Will on Christmas Day at age 99. The Christ Child, Jesus was born to show her the way home. Eloise is survived by her daughters, Mary Kay Griffith of Paige TX, Barbara Carroll and her husband Tom who was like a son, of Yorktown VA. Six grandchildren, and two loving great-granddaughters. She also leaves her beloved cat companions, Bud and Charlie. In Rochester, Eloise leaves her beloved brother-in-law, Jerry Hanss; many nieces, nephews and her dearest friend, Lisa. There are many, many more friends near and far who over almost 10 decades endeared themselves to her. To them the family sends heartfelt thanks for their support and friendship over the years. Special thanks to her angels of mercy, Dr. Michael Joynes, Mary Madden and Sentara Hospice Caregivers. Mrs. Hanss will be remembered in the Daily Mass Tuesday, January 18th, 8:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road Penfield.
