My thoughts .first, being poor is NOT a reosan to not learn. It is an excuse. It is also a result of enablers doing their good deed of making excuses for those who chose to make bad choices. Second, people can live where they want. I don't understand the logic of trying to make people in Pittsford feel guilty for wanting their children to be successful. It should be the opposite. There should be an effort to encourage the poor to attend school and realize the benefits that an education provides.it's not like there isn't enough money being spent on the RCSD. It's not like there isn't enought press coverage on the failures of the RCDS students. It's not like this is new. The RCSD has been failing for years. I guess I don't understand the point of this blog. What are you pushing for bussing city kids to Pittsford? Do you really think that is the answer?
