Obituary of Winifred Baiardi

Winifred Fitzsimmons Baiardi of Rochester, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep a few weeks shy of her 101st birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alan, sisters, Catherine Fitzsimmons Kalischer and Elizabeth Fitzsimmons Maguire and brother, Thomas Fitzsimmons. She will be missed by her nieces, Kathleen Maguire Langston (William), Patricia Maguire David (Clifford) and nephew, Donald Kalischer; grand nieces, Stephanie Langston, Catherine and Sarah David; grand nephews, William Langston and Clifford David. A seasoned traveler of the world, Winnie was most at home in her garden and arranging beautiful floral centerpieces. She was a woman of impeccable taste and warm hospitality, who will be remembered for her gentle, caring nature. A special thanks to the wonderful staff of St. John's Home- Reservoir 5 and her very compassionate aide, Ruby. A prayer service and interment will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield, MA, on July 2, 2010 at 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Home, Rochester, NY at a future date. Donations in Winnie's name can be made to St. John's Nursing Home.
