Obituary of Helen A. Jennings

Helen A. Jennings of Rome, NY passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patty Magnanti and brother, James Marquette. Helen is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Louis; 4 daughters, Karen (Bob) Pazdur of Cumming, GA, Joanne Mullen, Luann Jennings (Jon Vander Pyl) and Deborah (Tim) Lambert all of Rome; 3 sons, David, Mark (Sophie) both of Rome and Jeffrey (Robin) of Fairport; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Roe; many nieces and nephews. Helen was born December 30, 1932 in Chadwicks, NY, a daughter of Jesse and Mary McDonald Marquette. On June 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to Louis T. Jennings at St. Peter's Church, Rome, NY. She and Lou enjoyed many summers spending time with their friends at Brennan Beach RV Park in Port Ontario, NY. Helen was a secretary at St. Peter's Elementary School and Rome Catholic Schools for over 33 years. Friends may call Sunday 2-6 PM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, 418 N. George St., Rome, NY 13440.
