Obituary of Beryl Surrey

Beryl Surrey of Penfield passed away on February 1, 2010 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center at the age of 87. Beryl was born in Swansea, Wales and arrived in the United States in 1945 as a War Bride. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Surrey; her parents, Evan and Jane John. She is survived by her son, David (Krista) Surrey of Lucasville, OH; daughter, Elizabeth (Edward) Bailey of Webster; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; long time friend, Brian Marcellus of Penfield. Beryl retired from Rochester City Hall as the Assistant to the Director of Safety. She was active in the Penfield Players, the Rochester Welsh Society and the Penfield Senior Citizens. No prior calling. Beryl's Memorial Service will be held at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Penfield on Saturday, February 27 at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Rochester Presbyterian Home.
