Obituary of Eitsa Geoca
Eitsa (Stefanides) Geoca of Rochester, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed on December 14, 2009 at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore and son Peter. Mrs. Geoca is survived by her son, Karl (Shirley) Geoca; daughters, Florence (Gus) Stefanou and Vicki (Doug) Dumm; daughter-in-law, Nancy Geoca; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, who were the loves of her life; sisters, Betty (Ed) Forgione and Katherine Sharp; nieces and nephews. Eitsa and her husband Ted were owners of The Hayward Sweet Shop in Rochester for many years. Eitsa was known for her deep love of family and her sweet kindness to everyone. She was dedicated to, and deeply proud of, her Greek heritage, leaving a great legacy to her family.
Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Friday 4-8 PM. Trisaghion Service will be held at 7 PM. Mrs. Geoca's Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10 AM at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 962 East Avenue, Rochester, 14607. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Those wishing may contribute to the church in her memory.
