Dear Maj, I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing.I don't get the daily paper and did not know until after the service. Ed was a very special Psychologist who could relate to all student populations. I think this may have been so, as one could feel the strength of his character and ethics. I remember in particular being at a staff meeting with Dr. Liu. All of a sudden one of the secretaries came in with an awful look on her face. She said that there was a male adolescent who they thought had a gun and no one else could be found to deal with it. Ed immediately popped up and said that that was his case and went out to deal with it ostensible with no back-up. I just marveled. I am so sorry. My prayers and sympathy to you and to the family. I will include you in my prayers. I had breakfast with a small number of Spry teachers. They had heard that he was in hospice, but were unaware of his passing.
