Dear Kufka Family,
On behalf of the Lemmond family, please accept our condolences for the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother.
I hold such wonderful memories of Mrs. Kufka, whether as a child or adult. I remember most her radiant smile, bright outlook, and the care she displayed for family and friends. Our mother, Ann, always considered Rita to be a life long friend.
My thoughts and prayers to Mr. Kufka, Mike, Mary Katherine and the entire Kufka family.
Sincerely,
Bob

We were honored to have met Rita in her son's home and witness her loving and caring attitude towards her family. Rita made us, as guests feel welcome. Remember that nurses never pass, they just care for the Angels who may not be feeling well in Heaven. May peace come soon to the family in their time of need. Love Beth and Jessica

Many years ago, Rita came to work at Bellevue Hospital from the registry. She was one of the finest nurses I ever had the privilege of working alongside, and her optimistic attitude was a service to we nurses and the patients. We begged, but she resisted taking a permanent position with us. Years later, I enjoyed sitting near her and your father at St. Helen's.
My deepest condolences to your family.

Rita was always there for every neighborhood function with a smile on her face.
She was always glad to see people. I remember being so impressed that she had the strength to care for very ill people. She will be missed.
Late in life she and her family put their tust in me.
My deepest sympathies.

Rita was a member of the group from Cherry Ridge that came to my class at RL Thomas swimming pool. I loved her voice, her smiling eyes, her sense of humor and her kind way about her. I will miss her greatly as I am sure that many will. My prayers are with her family and I can just see her smiling down at us all!

Dear Ray, Mike & Family:
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your wife and Mom. I, along with those who had the pleasure of knowing her, remember Rita as a kind, strong and pious woman with a huge heart. She was a "Scout Mom" before it was fashionable to be one, and all of you in her family are living testimony to her legacy. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do from afar, my nuumber is 515-201-5857.
Sincerely,
Mike Favata (Troop 82)

I first met Rita when we both worked for Tri-Cities Nursing Registry. How long ago was that!I had just moved to Niskayuna and decided to try my hand at private duty nursing. Rita became my mentor. I always seemed to be her relief. Soon our reporting took a lot longer because we became friends too. I don,t remember what we talked about but I do remember her big infectious smile. She is on my very short list of one of the best nurses I was privileged to work alongside. I knew she had moved out of the area. I would run into her at the CoOp and the last time I spoke with her it was about her moving out of the area. I visit the National Cemetery monthly. My promise to you, Ray, and all of your family is that I will include her in those visits.
