Obituary of Anita A. Mayo

Anita A. Mayo of Rome, NY, died September 13, 2009 at age 89. She was a longtime resident of Bethany House. Anita was born March 18, 1920 in Winooski, VT a daughter of Arthur and Artheline Chastenay Barron. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and the local Red Hat Society. She was married to Lester I. Mayo on July 26, 1941 in Washington, DC. He predeceased her in 1983. Anita is survived by 4 children, Joyce Elizabeth Mayo of Denver, CO, Robert Arthur (Alice) Mayo of Carrollton, TX, Debbi (Thomas) Marquette of Rome, NY and Charles Michael (Santina) Mayo of Circleville, NY; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Michael Marquette serving with the U.S. Army at Ft. Campbell, KY, Sarah Melissa Marquette (fiance Jason Enslin) of Webster, NY, Ryan Matthew Marquette of Rome, NY and Joshua Mayo of Circleville, NY. Private Graveside Services will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery.
