Obituary of Dorothy L. Phillips

Dorothy (Lussow) Phillips of Penfield passed away January 29, 2013 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred; and brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Viola Lussow. She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; 3 children, Steve, Diane and Rick (Kim) Phillips; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Jenny) Lindner, Kevin Lindner, Catherine and Sean Phillips; niece, Jane Lussow. Born August 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Pittsford farmers, Otto and Alma Lussow. Dorothy was a faithful Christian woman with a servant's heart. She raised 3 wonderful children, was a loving and supportive grandmother, worked as an Administrative Assistant at BOCES #1 and was an active member of Penfield United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years. The family would like to thank the ICU team at Highland Hospital for the care, compassion and respect they gave. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Monday 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday 3 PM at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Road, Penfield. Private Burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Penfield UMC in Dorothy's memory.
