Obituary of Gerard J. Fly

Gerard John Fly "Jerry" of Penfield died June 19, 2009 at age 82. Predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy. Gerard is survived by six children, Patricia (Mike) Sirianni, Gerard J, Jr., Daniel J. (Catherine), Edward J. (Catherine), Anne (Ross) Haydanek and Richard J.;13 grandchildren, Nick, Kate, Ryan, Andrea, Andrew, Alexander, Allison, Amelia, Chris, Mike, Jenninfer, Will and Austin; sister, Dolores McMullen and brother, Thomas Fly. Jerry was a Navy veteran of both WWII and Korea, a member for 46 years and usher at St. Joseph's Church in Penfield. Jerry coached Little League in Penfield for 20 years. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Tuesday, 4-7 PM. Gerard's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. Entombment, White Haven Memorial Park.
